Timing problems

Overlapping events
Multiple events scheduled for the same time may compete or run in an unexpected order.

Incorrect repeat settings
Daily, weekly or hourly options may cause an event to run more often than intended.

Delayed execution
Events configured to wait for the current track may run later than their scheduled time.

Missed events
An event may not run when RadioDJ is stopped, disconnected or already processing another action.

Broken references

Missing playlist
An event may reference a playlist that has been removed or renamed.

Missing rotation
A rotation-loading event may point to a record that no longer exists.

Missing track
An event configured to play a specific track may reference a deleted song record.

Incomplete action
Some event types require extra values that may be missing or invalid.

Priority and ordering

When several events share the same scheduled time, their priority and event type can affect the order in which they run.

A rotation-loading event should normally run before events that depend on the newly selected rotation.

Review events grouped around the top of the hour, where IDs, news, commercials and playlist changes may all be scheduled together.

Event maintenance

Remove or disable events that are no longer used rather than leaving outdated actions active.

Use clear event names so their purpose can be recognised quickly inside RadioDJ.

Run this validator after importing events, changing rotations or rebuilding playlists.

Keep a complete database backup before making large changes to the event scheduler.
